For the last 19 years Ron Michalski has been the Senior Pastor of the historic Glad Tidings Church of Victoria. Born and Raised in Winnipeg, he has served in pastoral roles in Calvary Temple, Winnipeg and First Assembly, Calgary. He has graduated from both U of W and Central Pentecostal College.
Ron and his wife Jill have been married for 34 years. They have two children and at last count, three grandchildren. Ron is renown for his solid pulpit presence as well as his vision for cross-generational ministry. He is equally at home with the youngest to the most senior in his Congregation.

Dave Solmes,
Executive Director of Ministries
Dave Solmes is presently serving as Executive Director of Ministries at Glad Tidings Victoria. Since joining the Pastoral team in January 2003 his enthusiasm and love for people has been greatly appreciated. His desire is that each one would find a place of connection to Jesus Christ and come to a place of honoring God with their lives.
Dave and Julie have been married for 17 years and have three children; Lucas (12), Lindsey (8) and Lauren (6). Dave is a BTH graduate of Eastern Pentecostal Bible in Peterborough, Ontario where both he and Julie attended before Julie completed her studies with a Business Administration diploma from a community college. Before joining the staff at Glad Tidings Dave and Julie have served in pastoral ministry in Kingston and Oshawa, Ontario, and Montreal, Quebec.
Robert Daum,
Pastoral Care and Visitation
Pastor Robert Daum serves as the director of Pastoral Care Ministries and The Primetimers and Friends Senior's activities. This includes all forms of home and hospital visitation, plus spiritual and social activities for seniors. His wife, Fran, is a regular assistant to all the pastoral duties and is a firm supporter of the Ladies Missionary Fellowship. Together, they are active in counseling and the Prayer Crises Line.
They have served in pastoral ministry in Manitoba and British Columbia for 49 years, nine of which have been at Glad Tidings Church. Pastor Daum has also served as a presbyter for the Northern area of the BC/Yukon District for several years. He has directed youth and adult camps, served as camp president, plus many other church programs.
Robert and Fran have been married for 50 years. They have two sons and one daughter, plus six grandchildren. The work of the ministry has been their life's ambition. Their present goal is to serve God in full dedication as long as God's calling is upon their lives.
Luke Stones,
Worship Ministries Director
Luke Stones has been serving as Director of Worship Ministries at Glad Tidings Victoria since Fall, 2006. Luke joined Glad Tiding's staff after studying music in North Vancouver, where he concentrated on guitar and voice in Capilano College's Jazz Studies Degree Program. Luke has a passion for music, a love for Victoria (his hometown), and a desire to honor and serve God with his life and work.
Luke and his wife, Helena, were married in July, 2007, and happily share the privilege of ministry at Glad Tidings. Helena is also a student at University of Victoria, currently completing her Masters Degree in French Literature.
Andy Moore,
Student Ministries Director
Andy Moore is a graduate of Master's Commission out of Tommy Barnett's church, First Assembly in Phoenix, Arizona
and he has served as a Youth specialist on both sides of the border.
Invited to Canada by Youth for Christ Victoria, he assumed the responsibilities of Executive Director of YFC before joining the staff of Glad Tidings Church five years ago.
Presently, Andy has developed and pastors the largest church youth program on Vancouver Island.
Ash Peters,
Middle and High School Ministries
Ash Peters has come up through the Glad Tidings Youth program, mentored by Pastor Andy Moore.
Initially taking initiative as a volunteer and later giving himself to the responsibilities of Internship, Ash has developed as one of our cutting edge youth workers.
His giftings have matched his passion to make a positive difference in the lives of Middle School and High School teens of Victoria.
